Positive: My fiancée and I recently stayed at Villa Leopoldina for a long weekend, with a group of 8 of our friends, to celebrate our upcoming wedding. Words cannot express how blown away we all were by our experience. Everything at Pomaio vastly exceeded our expectations, which were already high given the incredible photos on their website. If anything, the pictures do not do it justice. The accommodation and setting are simply stunning; the 18th century villa strikes a perfect balance of rustic charm, modernness and ample amenities. It’s clear to see that an incredible amount of care and attention has been taken not only to renovate the villa to an exceptionally high standard, but maintain it too. Both floors were spotless on arrival, and the beds and linen were beyond comfortable. I had the best nights sleep in years. We also booked onto the wine tasting at Pomaio for our group. The wine tour started merely a short walk from the villa, which was great as it meant we did not have to drive. Once again, we were blown away by the experience. Leo, the managing partner, gave us an incredibly informative, interesting and personalised tour of the vineyards, wine cellar, processing plant and, most importantly, their stunning wine bar / veranda, set against the backdrop of glorious Tuscan rolling hills. The tour catered to wine aficionados and more casual drinkers alike. We also arranged through Pomaio to have a dinner cooked by a private chef, Riccardo, at the villa. Not only was the food and service top notch, Riccardo was both personable and professional, and was able to cater to last minute dietary requirements. This is something we would highly recommend as an additional experience. I can’t thank Leo and the team at Pomaio enough for providing us with an experience that we will cherish forever. It means all the more to my fiancée and I that we were able to celebrate such a personal life event with our friends in the most incredible setting.
