The Fonte Pecorale is a lovingly restored 19th century azienda Century and our guests have a heated pool (4x12 m). Fonte Pecorale is far away from noise and on the edge of the Gran Sasso National Park at 450 meters above sea level in the middle of a charming landscape between the sea and the mountains of the Gran Sasso massif. One of the highlights of an Abruzzo vacation is definitely an excursion to the Campo Imperatore, a plateau at 2100 meters above which the Gran Sasso (2912 m), the highest mountain in the Appenin, casts its shadow. Depending on the time of year, visitors to the Campo Imperatore will find rare plant species such as orchids and silver thistles. In spring the wide meadows are covered with colorful flowers. It is also a great pleasure to grill these delicacies at one of the two butchers that offer excellent sausage and cheese specialties as well as the typical arrosticcini. Sea lovers will also get their money's worth: the very beautiful beach of Pineto invites you to swim.
During the holiday season we rent out both apartments for larger families, il Pozzo and il Nido at a special price of € 115 per day, the two apartments are together and each have a bathroom, as well as 2 covered terraces and of course the garden.
Within a radius of 2-8 km there are some small typical trattoria and pizzeria. A small mini market is 2 km and a supermarket is 6 km away. Further information is available on request. The host speaks German.
