Originally a farmhouse, this beautiful 14th century villa is set on one of Italy’s most exclusive privately owned country estates and is only 20 minutes from the city of Perugia which offers a wealth of cultural activities including opera and the famous Umbria Jazz and Eurochocolate festivals.
In addition, Siena, Arezzo, and Assisi are nearby and the villa is within two hours from Rome and Florence. This holiday villa is named after Saint Sabinus, Bishop of Spoleto, to whom the little chapel on the estate, now deconsecrated, was once dedicated.
The chapel used to be one of the most important churches in Murlo where the farmers would congregate for Sunday’s Holy Mass. Today, the estate has been refurbished to a high standard while still maintaining its history and authenticity.
This luxury villa offers four beautifully appointed bedrooms, each with en suite bathroom, a large heated pool, impressive views of the surrounding countryside, and pristine landscaped gardens. The villa is set on two floors and there are three bedrooms situated on the upper floor. The chapel has been converted to the fourth bedroom which is accessible by a corridor from the kitchen in the main house.
