Summary: First I will say the staff we met were lovely. However very disappointed with our stay, we don’t usually pay extra for a more luxury style hotel with the amenities and standard offered but won’t be staying again. Rooms advertised as sound proof which they are not, we heard everything upstairs, in the hall and even people’s morning alarms which even in a basic hotel room you shouldn’t hear. A private tub was promised which was no where to be seen. We got a room with a ‘private balcony’ the grates between balconies were see through so not private didn’t feel comfortable to open the blinds as would have been seen by others. The room was dirty the sheets had marks on and there was quite a bit of mould in the shower. The a/c unit didn’t work either. Finally as a comment to improve would have liked an extra lock on the door rather than just the key card one as any employee could walk in with swipe access, most hotels have a second lock we can put on for safety. Really disappointed as was looking forward to lots promised, we feel a partial refund or compensation would be fair as this is not up to the standard advertised at all.
