Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Privacy, away from the noise of the touristic area, excellent location to explore Maiori and the Amalfi Coast. A short walk to the main street, the marina, and the beach. The apartment was spacious and clean, plenty of air conditioning. The kitchen was great, especially for breakfast and the odd meal we wanted to prepare. The owner was very helpful explaining ZTL access rules, flexible with check-in and check-out, and generally very responsive. The beds were comfortable and the surroundings very safe to walk, even at night. We recommend this place and would stay there again.

Negative: What follows is not crushing, but should be pointed out. Lots of steps to climb. Normal for Italy, but when you do it 3 or 4 times a day, you feel every one of the 65 steps between the alley and the front door. The kitchen did not have enough glasses and dishes when we arrived, but the owner promptly delivered the few items we requested and even gave us a bottle of local wine -- grazie! Not a big deal, but having travelled in Italy for a number of years, we did expect a bit more pantry hospitality. The grocery store is not far away, but it would have been nice to have a little bit of some basic kitchen staples when you arrive -- coffee, sugar, salt, etc. The parking situation is not practical.
