Summary: We loved our stay at Kandy Shady Trees thanks to the very welcoming and accommodating nature of our hosts. The room we stayed in was large and very comfortable and breakfast was fresh and substantial. The location is up a steep hill (we took a tuk tuk up and down it) but could be walked. Views from the property were great and it was in close proximity to central Kandy and many worth visiting sites. Our host also accommodated us by driving us to local sites for a very reasonable fee. He was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, a safe driver and spoke great English. The only (small) thing the room didn't have, or at least, we couldn't get to work, was the hot water. The room was also missing soap. But, all in all, small things and we got by fine.
