CASA MAJA is a newly built building, located in the 'Montemanno' area in Badolato Marina, a very peaceful place, in the village and close to the sea and shops. The furniture is also simple and well-kept. Possibility of discounted rates in relation to the length of the stay.
The house is in the new residential area in Badolato Marina, (10 km from Soverato), a quiet and traffic-free area, and a few kilometers from Badolato Borgo (Medieval), and is a 2-storey structure with main access that disengages the various apartments, an entrance square (where for example to leave your bicycle, strollers etc) and a surrounding land / garden. There are 2 washing machines in the laundry area available for guests.
Supermarkets are nearby, the sea 250 meters away with several beaches and bathing establishments with beach service, bar, restaurant, as well as a large number of sandy beaches (small pebbles on the shoreline) free and ample parking facilities.
At 50 meters there is a green area, children's playground, picnic area, and a soccer field.

Summary: We stayed with Francesco for 6 nights in the high season. The two bedrooms of the apartment were nice, spacious, and comfortable for two adults and two kids (one of which used a travel cot we brought along). The living area was comfortable, offering a sofa and table that was large and very comfortable for 4 people (6 could easily fit). The only problem was with a large heating stove that took up a full corner of the space and had several exposed tubes that were far too "interesting" for our 1.5 year old. The stove was not pretty to look at, and posed a slight hazard to our small child (even though the stove was never turned on -- in August). We enjoyed eating on the balcony, which was comfortable for 3 (while the baby was sleeping), but would have been cramped for 4. I would not say that the beaches are walking distance. It would be a hefty walk down, and an even heftier walk back UP the hill to where the apartment sits. We always drove, and had no trouble parking very close to the beaches. The sandy beaches are nice, and there is LOTS of space on many of the free beaches, even in August. We found no need to go to a lido. The only unfortunate thing is that the water very quickly becomes deep, leaving little room in the water for young non-swimmers to play. If we decide to come back to this part of Calabria, we would consider staying here again. We also spent a week near Capo Vaticano, and enjoyed the beaches there much more.
